Product Improvement Program
Product Improvement Program is designed to understand how the product is used and improve it. Participation is voluntary and no personal information is collected.
- What information is collected?
- System information, such as operating system version and hardware configuration.
- Bluetooth device information, such as manufacture and device name.
- Bluetooth Battery Monitor information, such as version number.
- Bluetooth Battery Monitor feature usage, such as which part of the program was used (or not used).
- Bluetooth Battery Monitor crash dump, if the program ever crashes.
- What information is not collected?
Information that uniquely identifies you or your computer, such as your e-mail address and the serial number of your computer.
- How does it work?
If you choose to participate, collected data will be automatically uploaded to our server along with an anonymous user ID.
- How the information will be used?
We will use the collected data to improve the product. We may also publish the aggregated information, such as the list of the Bluetooth devices known to cause problem, to better support the product users.
- Can I cancel my participation anytime?
Yes. Please see the next item for how to opt-out.
- How do I participate / opt-out?
After the software is installed, you can change the setting by:
- Open the program from Start menu or from the system tray icon.
- Click the gear (settings) icon at the top-right corner of the window and select “Settings...” in the pop-up menu.
- Change the setting for “Help make Bluetooth Battery Monitor better by automatically sending usage statistics and crash reports to the developer.” checkbox.
- Will I be contacted or receive spam mail by participating in this program?
No. Because we don't collect information about your identity, including your e-mail address, there is no way for us to contact you.
